About Make Change BWCB

Changing lives through inclusive sport

Make Change BWCB was founded on a simple belief: that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the power of sport – no matter their ability, background, or circumstance.

Our team is passionate about making sport accessible to all. Whether it’s wheelchair basketball, other adapted sports, or inclusive physical activities, we tailor every session to meet the needs of the individuals and communities we serve.

We create safe, supportive spaces where people can engage, connect, and grow – whether they’re living with a disability, facing a mental health challenge, in crisis, or simply navigating a tough day. Our mission is to open up new pathways to participation, confidence, and joy through sport.

What sets us apart is our commitment to inclusivity, empathy, and adaptability. We believe that with the right support, everyone has the potential to thrive – on the court and beyond.

Our Main Focuses

We aim to help the following groups to improve their physical and mental well-
being through physical activity

Supporting Vulnerable Adults & Young People

Access to sport isn’t just about fitness, it’s about belonging, confidence, and opportunity. Our wheelchair basketball programmes are designed to offer safe, inclusive spaces for vulnerable adults and young people to connect, grow, and feel seen.

Partnering with Primary Schools

We work closely with primary schools to bring adaptive, energetic wheelchair basketball sessions to pupils of all abilities. Our coaches don’t just deliver sport, they deliver confidence, teamwork, integration with each school’s needs.

Empowering Individuals Facing Barriers to Movement

For individuals living with socio-economic or health-based challenges, traditional fitness spaces can feel inaccessible. Our free sessions remove financial and physical obstacles, creating a space where movement is joyful, adaptive, and free of judgement.
